BILLABONG ANTE UP RIDER LIST ANNOUNCED WITH WORLD CLASS FIELD SCHEDULED TO COMPETE JULY 1ST, 2011

Billabong Ante Up, presented by Von Zipper is proud to announce the qualified rider list for the 5* TTR World Snowboarding Tour event, taking place July 1st, 2011 at the top of Whistler Mountain in Whistler, BC. The event is the marquee kick off event of the TTR Tour, with a Big Air Snowboarding event.

The event has four (4) of the world’s top six (6) currently ranked TTR Slopestyle riders scheduled to compete, including tied for 1st place Canadian Mark McMorris, 3rd placed Canadian Sebastien Toutant, 4th place Belgium rider Seppe Smits, and 5th place USA rider Chas Guildemond.Additional riders include 2010 Vancouver Olympics Halfpipe Bronze Medalist Scotty Lago from the USA, and riders from Japan, Norway, Sweden and Finland. All qualified riders were selected from a panel of snowboarding industry experts who took into account last year’s TTR World Tour Rankings, recent additional contest results (including Winter X Games and Dew Tour results), and video inclusion segments, to determine the field for the 2011 Billabong Ante Up event.

A great spectator event that is taking place on Canada Day, guests can watch the action by purchasing a Whistler Blackcomb PEAK 2 PEAK Alpine Experience sightseeing ticket from guest relations or any ticket window. Additionally, all 2010 Whistler Blackcomb Seasons Pass holders get free access, with 2010 Edge card holders accessing the event for 50% off.
